EB-3: Green Card with a Job Offer
The EB-3 is designed for those who want to immigrate based on a formal job offer from a U.S. company. It is ideal for professionals with a degree, skilled workers, which means at least 2 years of experience, and even unskilled workers, as long as they have a sponsor.
In 2025, the EB-3 remains one of the most accessible immigration paths, but it depends directly on job availability and the employer’s ability to complete the PERM process with the Department of Labor.
This process involves more time and more steps, including labor certification, the I-140 petition, and the final stage of adjustment of status or a consular interview. The average total timeline is around 12 to 18 months, depending on the applicant’s country of origin and visa availability in the category.
The approval rate is high when all documentation is properly aligned and the employer meets the legal requirements.
